Minister of Labour Ruth Dyson today congratulated Karl Boniface Plumbing for its dedication to making worker safety a priority. The Invercargill business won the New Zealand Safety Best Health and Safety Initiative by a Small Business at the NZ Safeguard Health and Safety Awards earlier this year. The business has 16 employees and took action that many larger businesses would not have when a worker splashed primer used to clean PVC downpipes in his eye last year.
